Daniel Paul Murphy Aug. 25, 1947- Aug. 6, 2019
Passed away on Aug. 6, 2019 at Brandon Regional Hospital.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri
Preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Merrins Murphy, parents R. Brent Murphy and Patricia Lennon Murphy, and brother Joseph (Joe) Budlong Murphy (Brenda), and brother-in-law Alan Dryer.
He leaves behind his (beloved) daughters Amanda Williams (Murphy), Julie Connolly (Ryan), and four grandchildren: Alyssa, Tori, Chloe, Madelyn as well as brothers Brent (Jean), Jim, and sisters Mary D. (Dee Dee), Patty and Carroll Murphy (Wayne). He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He will always be remembered for his generous spirit, his ability to bring joy with his wonderful gift of words, magic, guitar music, and written song lyrics. Of course in everyone's memory will be his laugh and sense of humor.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the extraordinary doctors, nurses, and staff members at Brandon Regional Hospital.
There will be an informal gathering to celebrate Dan's life on Sunday, August 11. Please drop in anytime between the hours of 10:00 am and 3:00 pm as family and friends gather to share treasured stories with one another and honor and celebrate Dan's life at:

This celebration of life will be held in lieu of a traditional service.
