Daniel James Allen, 73, passed away on August 5, 2026 in Seffner, Florida. He was born on September 4, 1952, in Ironton, Ohio to Daniel and Marie Allen. Dan graduated from Coal Grove High School in 1970 and worked for Mosaic for 33 years. He married Marilyn Neal. They were married for over 53 years. 

Dan proudly served in the Ohio National Guard for six years. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Seffner, Florida. He enjoyed baseball, golf, and most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dan is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his children, Trisha Whitzel (Raymond) and Matthew Allen (Jennifer); four grandchildren, Haley, Joshua, Annabelle, and Colton; sisters Jean Joviak and Katherine Sarginson. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Marie Allen, and his sister Jane Ocheltree. 

Funeral services will be held on August 12, 2026, at 10:00 am, at Serenity Meadows in Riverview, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 603 Faithway Drive, Seffner, FL 33584.
