Cynthia Jane Haas, 82, of Riverview, FL, passed away peacefully in her sleep April 19, 2015. She was born in Dayton, OH to the late Inez and Earle Brenner on February 13, 1933. She is survived by her husband Phillip Edwin, who she married on June 3, 1956, her daughters, Brenda Joyce Shore (late husband Cliff), Judith Ann Haas (Bonnie Hopper Armour) and Nancy Ellen Haas, son, Philip Earl "Skip" Haas (Willie "Bill" Hocutt), grandchildren, Travis Hopper-Haas, Sara Hopper-Haas, and Ruth Jia Hope Haas and brother, Kristen A. Knight of Newark, OH. Besides her late parents, she is predeceased by her sister Joyce Brenner and stepfather Roy Knight.

Cynthia was a graduate of South High School, Columbus, OH in 1951. She retired as a library assistant at Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, VA. She became a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in 1966 and later moved with her husband to Riverview, FL in 1992. She was a caring and loving person, pouring her resources, time and talents into her church and strong faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of Apostles Lutheran Church and an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the "Keenagers" Group. In her church, she was helpful with the altar guild, church secretary, church council member and choir member, along with numerous other church-related activities. She will truly be missed by all of her families and friends.
