Claire Benson-Muller was born in Glasgow, Scotland and moved to South Africa as a young girl where she spent most of her life. Claire was a pug loving, personal trainer that spent a number of years both fostering and volunteering for Pug Rescue in South Africa.
She built many lasting friendships with both her co-workers as well as her clients over the years. Claire moved to the USA in 2017 and finally became a US Citizen in 2022. Her time in the USA may have been short, but her bubbling and energetic nature both as a personal trainer and as a friend, left a great impact with lasting memories for all those who got to know her.
Claire will be deeply missed by people from all around the world. She made a positive impact wherever she went.
A memorial in her memory will be held at Serenity Meadows on Wednesday 8 February 2023 from 2pm - 4pm for close friends and family.
Claire's celebration of life will be enjoyed afterward from 4.30pm at Claire's favorite local place, Tiki Docks in Riverview, Florida, where she created many happy memories, and wanted her life celebrated, not mourned.
Claire is survived by her wife Brigette Benson-Muller, her beloved pug, named Penelope, of 10 years that everyone close to her has come to know well, her rescue cat named Garcia, as well as her sister Susan in Australia, and 2 children, Charnelle and Nathan. Claire also has a young grandchild in England that sadly she never had the opportunity to meet.
May your bright light continue to shine, Claire. The world has lost a special soul, far too early.
