Cheryl Denice Colson, 68, of Riverview, FL., passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the LifePath Hospice House at Tampa General Hospital.  Born on December 6, 1950 in Washington, DC to the proud parents of James E. Rounsley & Merle Iris (Carter) Bishop. She moved to the area in 1955 and took a job with the U.S. Postal Service. Cheryl retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 31 years.  She was a member of Riverview First United Methodist Church.  Cheryl loved crafting, going antiquing, making personal cards and collecting stamps.  Survivors include her beloved daughter and son: Robin McVicker of Riverview and Robert and Melissa Potter of DeBary, FL; her sister, Kristen Nicolai of Tampa, FL; and her four grandchildren: Madison, Brittney, Annmarie and Ava. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leon Colson.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Riverview First United Methodist Church, 8002 US Hwy 301 South, Riverview, FL with burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 1:30pm.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00am at the church.
