SMYER, Charles P. (Charlie), 78, of Seffner, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013. A native of Deming NM, Charlie resided here for 53 years and was a member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church and a former member of First Baptist Church of Palm River. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Smyer. He is survived by 2 sons, Jim Smyer and his wife Minerva, Franklin TN and Keith Smyer and his wife Mary, Seffner FL; 1 sister, Shirley Kienlen, California; and 4 grandchildren, Rick Orzechowski II, Phillip and Andrew Smyer and Robert Rios. There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11:00 am at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, with a visitation 30 minutes prior. Charles will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, FL 33609.
