Mullen, Charles William IV, 21, of Brandon, passed away on June 25, 2009. Charles is a 2006 graduate from Durant High School, where he was an Honors student. He was a talented musician. Charles was a protector of all and a big brother to many people. He will be missed and forever loved by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Mullen, III and cherished family dog, Beeej. Charles is survived by his loving family, mother, Patricia Kessel Gildea (Michael); brother, Timothy Andrew Mullen; grandparents, Myron and Jeannie Hull; uncles, Charles Kessel (Candy) and Paul W. Kessel; loving girlfriend, Ashley Jones; loving friends, Gail Bledsoe, Laura Del Valle and Lauren Denton; and dog, Riley O'Clover. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. A celebration of Charles' life will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows.
