McKenna,
Charles R.,85, of Sun City Center, Florida passed away on January 30, 2009. He was born in Carnegie, Pennsylvania to Charles R. Sr. and Marie McGarry. He attended St. Luke's High School and Duquesne University. Charles was a life-long railroader who started working for the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1940. After serving in WWII with the U.S. Army he returned to the railroad where he worked his way up to General Manager with Conrail. He ended his career in 1986 as President of the D&H Railway in Albany, New York. After retirement in Connecticut, he traveled extensively with his wife, Patricia McCullough who preceded him in death in 1995. He is survived by his wife Mary O'Malley, whom he married in 1997; children Ray (Rhonda), Pam (Jonathan), Dennis (Deidre) and Daniel (Deborah); step-children Brian Malloy (Jackie), Maureen O'Neill (Robert), Colleen O'Malley, and Kevin O'Malley (Kathy); brothers, Jack (Jeanne), Tom, Garry (Marie); sisters Eileen Mickelson (Steve) and Betty McCullough. In addition, he leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 16 step-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Sun City Center Florida on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 10:00 AM.
