Keener, Charles William, entered heaven on August 30, 2011. Charles was born on October 14, 1946 into a family of 17 brothers and sisters in Jay County Indiana to Clarence and Margaret E. Keener. He was lovingly raised from the age of 13 by his brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Doris Keener. Charles graduated from Connersville High School in June of 1967 in Connersville, Indiana. He was a proud US Army Veteran. Charles loved his family and enjoyed being with them. The world was a better place with him in it. When God created Charles, He created one of the most generous and giving people you could ever meet. He had a great compassion for everyone and he will be truly missed, but we look forward to seeing him in heaven. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Roberta; son, Charles, Jr and his wife Monica and their children, Cheryl, Charles III, Steven, Joshua and Jessica; daughter, Janice and her husband Ray and their son Richard (Ricky); son, James and his wife Lina and their children Diana and Jamie; daughter, Deborah and her husband Arthur and their children, Sarah, Arthur III, Maggie, Mia and Alex; and daughter Joyce and her daughter Jenny. He is also survived by his extended family and many friends. Charles enjoyed staying with Gary and Diane when we would come to visit the family in Indiana. He always looked at Gary, Jana and Sonny as brothers and sisters rather than nieces and nephews. He loved all of you very much, so get ready and stay ready to one day meet him in heaven. He will be looking for you. There will be a funeral service on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11:00 am at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, with a visitation one hour prior. He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery.
