Charles M. Drake, known lovingly as Chuck, passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 78. He was born on May 26, 1947, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Charles Drake Sr. and Sara Drake.

On May 3, 1985, Chuck married the love of his life, Carolyn, in Charlton County, Georgia. Together they built a life grounded in partnership, respect, and unwavering love.

Chuck proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal in recognition of his honorable service. After completing his military duty, he dedicated 39 years to TECO, where he worked as a manager and earned the admiration and respect of colleagues who valued his leadership, work ethic, and steady reliability.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Chuck found peace and joy in fishing and boating. He also loved spending time with his family.

One of Chuck's greatest passions was restoring and rebuilding classic cars. Whether turning a wrench or admiring a finished project, he found fulfillment in bringing the past back to life with his own hands. His craftsmanship, patience, and eye for detail were evident in every car he touched.

Chuck is preceded in death by both his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn, step son Mike and his wife Amanda, 4 grandchildren, Liz, Lina, Cat and Matt, 2 sisters PJ and husband, Mike, and Penny, nieces Leanne and Teresa, as well as other extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home on Friday December 12th at 11am. In lieu of flowers the family asked to make donations to Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough.
