Attended Academy of the Holy Names and graduated from there in 1950. While there she excelled academically as a National Honor Society member all four years of high school. She was class Vice President her senior year, and played "Belle" in "Little Women" an AHN theater production. She wrote an essay in 1950 on "Hiring the Handicapped" that won 3rd place amongst all high school seniors statewide in Florida.

She then attended Tampa Business College and graduated at the top of her class. After graduation, she was a secretary for several local businesses, and was known for her organizational skills.

On August 23, 1953 she married the love of her life Billy James Dial at Christ the King Catholic Church in Tampa, and they remained happily married for almost 72 years until God called Billy home.

In 1969, along with Billy she opened Craft Shack, a very successful arts and crafts store in South Tampa, where she taught classes and made too many friends to count. Later the business shifted into picture framing and became International Frame Source. In later years they moved their framing business to Brandon as Age's Art and Frame.
