Cecil Wayne Philmon, of Riverview, FL, passed away on January 27, 2021 at the age of 81 years old.  He was born on March 8, 1939 in Blakely, GA.  He joined the US Army at the ate of 17 years old in 1956 and proudly served until 1962, when he was honorably discharged and graduated from Brandon High School.  Shortly thereafter, during a Sunday Church service, he met the love of his life, Patricia.

Quickly thereafter, they were married and began their family.  Cecil retired from Exxon after 49 years.

In his free time, Cecil enjoyed coaching at East Bay Little League, where he was able to mentor and mold the lives of many.  He also loved playing poker, fishing, golfing, fossil hunting, playing horse shoes and throwing back some fried cats.  He loved the Florida Gators and cooking ribs with his homemade sauce.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia; eldest son, Mike daughter in law, Beth; daughter Cynthia (Sissy) Kruger son in law, Chris; son, Lance (Bubba); daughters: Sandra and Ann son in law, Louie; along with 8 wonderful grandchildren: Cory, Dylan, Zach, Luke, Rachael, Levi, Little Louie and Beth Ann.  He will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 1:00pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, Riverview, FL with bur i al to follow at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.
