Born Catherine Anna Nicolino on November 29th, 1927, to parents James Nicolino and Lucy DeMilto she was a proud John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School graduate.
Catherine then went on to work for the American Telephone and Telegraph Company, as a switchboard operator. There were many stories of some of the "accidentally" overheard calls!
She met Edward James Curcio of 418 Dickinson Street, Philadelphia, and they were married September 17th, 1955. About one year later their first child, Anne was born. Followed by James and then by Marc.
Life was good and they raised their family on Wolf Street in South Philly. Eventually the children moved. Marc joined the Air Force. However, James and his wife Lisa were not far away with their children Alex and Samantha, and in 1999, Anne and her husband Phil Marguriet moved back from Seattle with their children, Laura and Casey.
Catherine and Edward moved to Riverview Florida in 2005, where unfortunately Ed passed soon after.
Catherine is survived by her three children, daughter Anne (Phil) Marguriet, sons James and Marc Curcio and 4 grandchildren Alex, Samantha, Laura and Casey and her sister, Anne Marie, now Sister Marie Magdalena "Aunt Anne" of The Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Immaculata, Pennsylvania.
