Carolyn Suralis went home peacefully on August 03, 2014. Carolyn was born September 08, 1931, in Jacksonville, Florida and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gillen and Susie Ellis. In 1949, Carolyn and husband Pete Suralis settled in Riverview. Together, they built the original East Bay Sanitation of 1964. Over the sixty-five years of their marriage, Carolyn and Pete were blessed with four children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Carolyn enjoyed bowling, and competed in local and statewide tournaments. Her hobbies also included golf, collecting antique tea pots and miniature dolls as well as enjoying her love of the surrounding beach areas. Carolyn was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Riverview, Florida. Carolyn is survived by sister, Ailene Matthew of Charlotte, North Carolina, brother, Fred Ellis Sr. of Jacksonville, Fl., husband, Pete Suralis, Sr. sons, Theodore (Ted) Suralis of Riverview, Pete Suralis Jr of Riverview and daughter Danita Dickman of Ruskin, Florida, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will be held on Thursday, August 07, 2014 at Serenity Meadows in Riverview, Florida. Visitation begins at 12pm followed by a service at 1pm. A graveside interment service will follow at Hillsborough Memorial Gardens Cemetery located in Brandon, Florida.
