On Sunday, March 17, 2019, Carol Ann Smith, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away at the age of 75. Known as Nan by loved ones, Carol was born on November 30, 1943 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to William and Dorothy Williams.  In April 1963, Carol married her high school sweet heart, James Francis Smith Jr, in Niagara Falls, NY. Together, they had two children James F. III and Rebecca Ann.

Carol enjoyed many activities throughout her lifetime, however, some of her favorite things included shopping, going to the casino, playing bingo, and going to Disney. Above all, she loved being surrounded by friends and family. Carol touched the lives of everyone she met, she was a true light and joy to those around her. She was the person you could always count on to be there and to lend a helping hand. She will truly be missed and the memory of her will never fade, but instead, live on through all those she has left behind.

Carol is survived by her husband, James Smith, brothers, Bill Williams and Scott Williams, son, Jim Smith and daughter, Becky Pagliughi; grandchildren, Sasha Burgin, Megan Pagliughi, Jason Smith, Melissa Pagliughi, and Ryan Smith, and great grandchildren, Emma Pagliughi, and Charlotte Burgin.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, William Williams, her mother, Dorothy Williams and her brother, Jack Williams.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1:00pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, Riverview, FL with burial to follow at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to services from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home.
