IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Ann
Rosas
April 2, 1938 – March 15, 2023
Carol Ann Rosas, 84, passed away on March 12, 2023. She was born to Harry and Sylvia (Glaser) Clifford on April 2, 1938 in Bronx, New York. She married Manuel "Manny" Rosas in 1974 and they shared 43 years together. Carol worked at Hartford Insurance for 20 years, during which lifelong friendships were forged and carried into regular gatherings with "The Breakfast Club".
Carol and her loving older brother, Ron, remained close and they regularly spent hours
talking on the phone sharing their lives and family humor.
Carol was vivacious and happy and had a positive outlook on life. When Carol was
present there was laughter. She had a wonderful sense of humor and her friendships
were filled with fun and loving banter. She brought happiness to anyone who was down
and out.
For many years she delivered Meals on Wheels in the Tampa area to shut-ins.
Always an animal lover, Carol loved and cared for many animals throughout her lifetime.
In recent years her cats, Zachary and Angel, were her life and she lovingly referred to
them as "the boys". Carol loved to work in her yard and feed the squirrels and birds.
Even after a stroke Carol's smile and kindness impacted the lives of the staff at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Tampa, during her three week stay and they all loved her. Her friends
and family wish to extend many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for
her there. We also wish to thank Sturgill Hospice House, Brooksville, Florida, for their
compassionate care through her last breath.
Carol is survived by her brother, Ronald Clifford, Sunrise, Florida, nephew Roger
Clifford, Plano, Texas and step-daughter Cindy Amiel, Lakeland, Florida. The family
wishes to thank Flo, Marie, Kathy and Patrick who gave Carol their loving support in her
final days.
