Buster Phillips, 72, of Riverview, FL, died on February 16, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.  Buster was born on May 20, 1947, to the late Robert Phillips Sr. and Jane Christina Duer of Lansing, MI.

Buster was the loving, life partner of Dianne Walson, to whom he was with for 26 years. Also surviving, are daughters Charity Deputy (Phil Deputy) of Queen Creek, AZ, Kristin Carson (Will Carson) of Riverview, FL, son Steven Sosa (Stacy Sosa) of Chattanooga, TN, six grandchildren Matthias Deputy, Harlow Carson, Cullen Carson, Hayden Sosa, Natalie Sosa, Ella Sosa, and siblings Robert Phillips Jr. of Tampa, FL, Gail Alvarez of Tampa, FL as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Patricia Durham and his brother Arthur Reid Collum of Tampa, FL.

Buster and Dianne ran a successful upholstery supply company for 20 years. He loved all of his customers and considered many of them family.  Buster loved fishing, boating, and spending time with family and friends at his favorite Riverview hangouts (AJ's on the River, The Beer Shed, and River's Edge).  Buster was an amazing upholsterer and well known for his quality of work and attention to detail, he was a perfectionist!  Earlier in his life, Buster enjoyed water skiing, scuba diving, hunting, fishing and racing across the Gandy Bridge in his 1969 Super Bee.  Buster had a generous heart and he loved giving and helping others.  Buster spread laughter everywhere he went; he will truly be missed and will remain in the hearts of so many.  A Celebration of Life/Get Together will be forthcoming.  Family and friends are encouraged to share their memories online at serenitymeadows.com.
