During the night of October 29, 2019, Bruce Allen Martin passed away peacefully in his sleep at home. He was married for just shy of 55 years to Erika Martin. They have children Marlo Martin and Jason Martin and daughter-in-law Tracie Martin, and grandchildren Gretel and Gustav.

Born October 25, 1944 in Ionia, Michigan to Jay and Esther Martin, Bruce was the youngest child, with siblings Beverly, John, and Jerald. They grew up on the family farm until the family moved to Ft. Myers, Florida when Bruce was in middle school. At 17, he left home and joined the Army. He was stationed in Hoechst, Germany (near Frankfurt). He worked his way up from being a wire layer/radio operator to cryptology. He met and married Erika in Frankfurt.

After the Army, Bruce and Erika went to Michigan and settled in Bay City. Bruce worked for Saginaw Steering Gear (a division of GM, later Delphi) for 34 years. He retired as a skilled trades journeyman gage and fixture repairman. After retirement, Bruce and Erika moved to Ruskin, Florida. Bruce was a devoted family man and will be greatly missed by all.
