IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brianna Renee
Hotz
December 30, 1992 – March 13, 2022
Beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, aunt, and dear friend Brianna "Bri" Renee Hotz, 29, passed away Sunday, March 13 th , 2022.
She was born in Jacksonville, FL on December 30 th , 1992. Raised in a Marine family, Bri lived in Houston, TX, Camp Lejeune, NC, and Fredericksburg, VA before moving to Valrico, FL in 2004. As a child, Bri played a variety of sports. From dance, to cheerleading, baseball, basketball and youth recreational football, Bri wanted to try everything. That adventurous spirit followed her into adulthood where she learned to scuba dive and enjoyed river kayaking, biking, sky diving, and hiking with family and friends.
Bri graduated with honors from Durant High School in 2011. As a volunteer for autistic children, she developed a passion for helping others. Bri obtained her Associates of Science in Nursing from Jersey College in 2016 and became a registered nurse. With a limitless thirst for knowledge, she attended Grand Canyon University and most recently the University of South Florida where she dreamed of one day becoming a doctor.
Bri was an RN at South Shore Hospital in Sun City Center from 2017 to present. First in telemetry and then the intensive care unit, she felt a strong call to duty during the COVID-19 pandemic. She was fully invested in all her patients and their families, often staying late to provide continuity of care. Bri was an energetic nurse, full of questions, and striving to learn more from all who would teach her. Dedicated to patient care, she felt blessed to be supported by so many doctors and nurses.
She is preceded in death by her aunt Patricia Brady, uncle Sherman Jones, and her beloved Doberman Bruno.
Bri is survived by her mother Tonya Hotz and father Bryan Hotz, brothers Travis Hotz and Trevor (Susan) Hotz, nephew Roman Hotz, grandfather James McFadden, stepfather Kevin Lane, uncle Alan (Rhonda) McFadden, uncle Mike Rivera, cousins Zachary and Jordan Whipple, and many dear and loving friends. She leaves behind her dearly loved Doberman son "Sir Remi Hotz."
Bri will be deeply missed by all that knew her, whether they had two legs or four.
