Obituary

Bonnie Kelley Wilkins passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at her
home in Lithia, Florida with her beloved family by her side.

Bonnie was born March 29, 1952, in Athens, Georgia. She was the second of four
children born to the late Ralph Kelley and the late Jenidean Rountree Kelley.

Upon graduation from Swainsboro High School in 1970, Bonnie attended the University
of Georgia at Athens; graduating with a degree in Interior Decorating and Home
Economics. It was during this time that she met Buddy Wilkins and they were married
soon afterwards. The couple made their home in Helen, Georgia, and later moved to
Gainesville, Georgia. Bonnie then established herself as both a very sought after
decorator and avid tennis player.


In 1991 the family moved to Jupiter, Florida. Bonnie enjoyed playing competitive golf
with her team at Jupiter Country Club; participating in several prestigious events
including the Challenger Cup. Her decorating career continued to flourish, with her work
featured in a premiere architectural magazine and working with high profile clients. She
was also an active member of Christ Fellowship Church.

Surviving with her husband, Buddy Wilkins, is a son, Clyde Smith "Bud" Wilkins, Jr., of
Fort Myers, Florida; daughter Betsy Kelley Ramos; two grandchildren (Kayla Kelley
Ramos and Ashton Kade Ramos), of Valrico, Florida.

Other family includes two sisters and a brother. Karol Kelley Tothill (Jim) of Inman,
South Carolina; and Pam Kelley Fridge with her son Michael Craig Fridge of Roanoke,
Virginia, and daughter Jeni Fridge Moyer (Adam) and grandchildren (Harrison Dean and
Kelley Anne) of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Newsom "RNK" Kelley, Jr.
