Beasley, Blanco Swann, born November 22, 1929, in Richmond County, Virginia, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the age of 85. Known to most as "Mr. B", he was husband to the late Mary Jett Beasley. Mr. B was the founder and namesake of Mr. B's Hardware, a hardware and home repair staple in the South Tampa community for over 30 years. Before opening the hardware store, Mr. B proudly served in the US Army during the Allied Occupation of Germany following WWII as a tank driver. Anyone who knew Mr. B knew he had a passion for music and instruments. It was rare to find him without a guitar or mandolin in his hand, many of which he carved himself. This is how his family will always remember him, with a smile on his face and a song in his heart. He is survived by his two children, Michael and Pamela Beasley; eight grandchildren, Christine Pring, Denise and Deborah Wheatley, Michele, Tiffany, Bradley, and Atlanta Beasley, and Ashley Wilson; and five (soon to be six) great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Jacob, Jagger, Bradley, Jr., Cierra (and Bryce). He is also survived by his little dog and constant companion, Jettco. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Moose Lodge, 3008 Gandy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33611 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. His family invites everyone to bring an instrument if you have one and join them in the musical celebration of his life.
