Betty J. Thomas, 79, of Tampa, passed away on Wednesday March 30, 2011. She was born to William and Hattie Thomas in Latrobe, PA. Betty moved to our area in 1940 and has resided here since. She loved old time country music and she was a skilled musician. She was preceeded in death by her parents and her four brothers, Lester Singo, Earle Singo, Byron Singo, and Bill Thomas, Sr. She is survived by her sister-in-law and long-time caregiver, Carrol Thomas, neices Robin Gould of NC, and Jackie Winter of Riverview - nephews, Earle R. Singo of OK, Bill Thomas, Jr. of Tampa, and David Thomas of Panama City. The family especially wishes to thank John Evans and Patsy Bourassa for their help in her care, as well as the Burgundy Team at Life Path Hospice.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
