Betty Marie Carmack Cuppett

December 31, 1936-January 21, 2022

Betty Cuppett, 85, was born in Timothy, Tennessee on December 31, 1936 and passed on January 21, 2022.  As a young mother, she flew across the Atlantic with a 4-month-old baby to join her husband on his deployment to Germany.  Upon returning a year later she began raising her family in the Detroit area before moving to Florida.

Betty worked as a data entry operator, trainer, and eventually owned her own successful data entry business.  She later earned her cosmetology license and owned her own salon in Lake Panasoffkee.  She finished her career retiring from school food services with Hillsborough County Public Schools.

Betty was a strong and caring woman who left her mark on many.  She made her home open to friends and family for a meal, a night, or several weeks.

Betty is survived by her children Linda Cuppett, Terry Frantz (Randy), Steven Cuppett (Yoko); her grandchildren Alisha Chamberlain (Craig) and Clinton Frantz (Katherine); great grandchildren Emily, Kyler, Kaleb, and Elena; and sisters Bessie Stacy and Carol Summers.

A memorial service will occur at a later date.
