CHAPMAN, Betty Brown, 83, a resident of Brandon for 48 years died April 17, 2012. Born on January 24, 1929 in Marietta, Georgia, daughter of Charlie James and Bertha Lucile Chalker Brown; sister of Sue Brown Morgan, James William Brown and Charlene Brown Patrick. She was married to Charles Vincent Chapman; mother of Linda Carol Chapman Keller and Charles Donald Chapman; grandmother of Stephanie Keller Nunez, Sandy Keller Ebersole, Melissa Chapman Whigham, Kimberly Chapman Lesure and Whitney Chapman; Great grandmother of Brandon Nunez, Tristan Nunez, Joseph Whigham, Dane Lesure, Grey Lesure and Nora Edwards. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of almost 56 years, Charles; granddaughter, Melissa Chapman Whigham and sister, Sue Brown Morgan. She was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church; Alafia River Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution; John Donaldson, Jr. Chapter of the American Colonist and the Greater Brandon Historical and Genealogical Society. A Memorial service to honor her life will be conducted 10:30 am, Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Serenity Memorial Funeral Home. The family ask in lieu of flowers please contribute to your favorite charity.
