Bernice M. Porter, 87, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on January 10th, 2024 at St. Jospeh's Hospital in Riverview FL, surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Bernard Bercovitz and Mary Grant. Devoted wife of the late Donald Porter. Mother to sons Bernard Porter his wife Meredith, Mark Porter and his wife Kim. Beloved Nana to Grant, Kelci, Drew, Adam, Owen, Noah, Alex, and Tyler. Bernice also leaves behind several Nieces and Nephews. A longtime resident of Brockton MA, and graduate of Brockton High School. She completed her nursing education at Massasoit Community College and Stonehill College followed by a long career in nursing at Goddard Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong Catholic and known for her fierce love of family.


A funeral mass will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Riverview FL on Saturday January 20th at 10am with an internment service immediately following at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Riverview FL.
