Aurea E. Rodriguez, age 71, of Brandon, FL, went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2024. Born on October 16, in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, Aurea was a devoted woman of faith who placed her trust in Jesus Christ throughout her life. Raised alongside her nine brothers and sisters, she carried her deep love for family and faith from Puerto Rico to the United States. As a young adult, Aurea settled in Newark, NJ, where she established her family before moving to Valrico, FL in the late - 1990s. Aurea was a woman who loved unconditionally and fiercely defended those she cherished. Her love was undeniable, and those who were fortunate enough to be embraced by her warmth knew it with absolute certainty. She made lasting, genuine connections with everyone she encountered, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Hector; her three children, Sandra, Luaurys, and Sammy; and her cherished grandchildren, Domonique, Raiden, Jazlyn, Adelyn, Ezekiel, and expected grandson. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 17, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, located at 6919 Providence Rd, Riverview, FL 33578. The funeral service will follow the next morning, Wednesday, September 18, at 11 a.m. at Iglesia Mana Del Cielo, 8401 Valrie Ln, Riverview, FL 33596, followed by a procession to Serenity Meadows Memorial Park. In honor of Aurea's bright spirit, we ask that all refrain from wearing black. Please wear lighter colors, with white encouraged.
