March 20, 1939 — April 3, 2021
Ashford (Buddy) Cecil Tappin was born to the late Dolly Tappin and Edith Williams on March 20, 1939 in Barrett Hall St Ann, Jamaica. He was the third of five siblings, Ashford attended Home Side All age school Claremont St Ann. As a young man, he relocated to Kingston Jamaica where he went and learned trade as a Mechanic. With this experience, Ashford went to work with Jamaica Railway Corporation and where he worked for years. Ashford met and married Evadney Tappin, he was the father of nine boys. Ashford immigrated to the United States in 2002 where he worked in New York at Hebrew Nursing Home until he relocated to Riverview, Florida and worked at Walmart in Brandon until his retirement. Ashford was humble, gentle, quiet, and soft spoken. Ashford is survived by wife Evadney, nine sons, eight daughters in-law, eighteen grandchildren, three sisters, nieces, nephews, and other families.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:00AM with burial to follow at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services for 10:00-11:00AM
