Obituary

Arland (Al) Pavlicek, Sr. passed peacefully from this life on November 22, 2021.  He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life.

Al was born in Montevideo, Minnesota on December 28, 1926. He was married to the love of his life, Marie Lutz, for 69 years.  Al proudly served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.  He then worked as a Maintenance/Instrumentation Supervisor for Monsanto and Farmland Industries.  Al had a tremendous work ethic, was an excellent leader and mentor, and an inspiration to others with his positive and faith-filled outlook on life.  He was deeply devoted to his family and was a tremendous role model to them and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his 3 loving children(and spouses), Deborah Knudson(Richard), Arland Pavlicek, Jr., and Pamela Ravins(Jay); 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie, and daughter-in-law, Michelle(Arland Jr.'s wife).

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, from 4:00 to 6:30 PM at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, Riverview, FL.  A mass will be celebrated at Nativity Catholic Church, Brandon, FL, on Friday, December 10, at 10:00 AM.  Al will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Nativity Catholic Church.For donations to Nativity Catholic Church, mail check to Nativity and put "In memory of Al Pavlicek" in the Memo.  Also include your return address so the family can extend their gratitude
