O'Donoghue II, Anthony A. "Tony", of Riverview passed away surrounded by his family, entering into the presence of his Savior, Sunday, February 15, 2015. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Christal; his daughter, Kelly Flannery (Jim), parents, Eddie & Alma O'Donoghue Sr., sister, Cyndi Capitano (Steve), brother, Jimmie O'Donoghue (Cindy) and many nieces and nephews. Tony was born in Charlotte, NC and moved to Tampa at the early age of 5. He retired from a career at Verizon that spanned 33 years, his last leadership position as the Public Communications Director of Sales and Service was the pinnacle. Tony was loyal to the men and women in his organization; he had an incredible sense of right & wrong and was a warrior for ethics and integrity. One of Tony's main passions was photography, capturing God's beauty through the lens of his camera. Tony loved animals, and over time rescued multiple dogs that became constant companions and part of his family, he leaves behind his beloved Beagles Sparky and Molly. His love of animals brought Tony to donate his time to the TECO Manatee Viewing Center as a Docent, educating visitors on Manatees, indigenous birds and fish of Tampa Bay. Tony enjoyed boating, fishing and traveling worldwide with Christal as they captured many sunsets along the way. The Family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 19th at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. A formal service will follow at 11:00 a.m. For those who wish to make a donation in lieu of flowers, Tony's favorite charity is the American Cancer Society.
