Marra, Anthony John Sr., 83, of Brandon passed on Monday, February 21, 2011. Mr. Marra had been a local resident since 1973 having moved here from Massachusetts. Christian by faith, Mr. Marra proudly served in the United States Navy during WW II. He was a member of the Order of Elks, Brandon Lodge and was active with the Y.M.C.A.- Campo. He enjoyed his family and football. Mr. Marra was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Carmaine. Survivors include his sons; Anthony, Jr., Richard, James, Michael, Robert, Curtis, daughter; Lisa Marra, sister; Marion Maloni, 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving is his very special friend, Mary McCord. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrews United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2011. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at church. Interment will follow at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
