Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and abundant love that we mourn the passing of Anthony "Tony" Brown, who left us too soon on November 10, 2023. Born in 1968, Tony was a lover of Christ Jesus, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished brother and son. He was a dear friend to many and will be profoundly missed.

Tony is survived by his wife, Tammy Brown, his precious children; Tori Brown, Anthony Brown Jr, and Pierre Haskins-Brown. He was also a devoted grandfather to London Brown, Baby Jet Haskins, and Noah Vega. His siblings; Angie Copeland, Maurice Copeland, Nathaniel Copeland, Octavia Jackson, and Anthony Brown Jr. Along with his mother, Vanessa Copeland, mourn his loss deeply. Tony was sadly predeceased by his father, Anthony Brown Sr.

A proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in 1986, Tony joined the Army in 1987, serving his country with honor. He married Tammy Brown in 1989, and together they raised three beautiful children. Tony was a dedicated student, earning a B.S. in Business Management in 2007 and a MBA in 2009 from the University of Phoenix.

A celebration of Tony's life will be held on December 2, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Serenity Meadows Memorial Park. Tony's love of life was contagious, and it will be a joy to remember and honor him.

Tony was a man of refined taste. He loved an Old Fashioned or a Light Dirty Martini, watching his favorite TV shows; Yellowstone and Game of Thrones, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed watching Hamilton Musical and his favorite films, Lord of the Rings or Star Wars. He often unwound by playing golf or relaxing by the pool listening to his favorite Jazz music with his cocktail and cigar. Most notably, Tony was a relationship builder, impacting others with his encouragement, generosity, and genuine care for people.

A fund has been established for a "Love Offering" at https://everloved.com/life-of…. His life was an example of the impact one person can have through kindness and dedication. A mentor to many, he truly was a beacon of light in this world. He will be dearly missed.
