In Loving Memory of

Anthony Breaux Jr.

Anthony Breaux Jr. was born on November 4, 1971, to Beverly Ann Hudson and Anthony Breaux Sr., and fathered by Roger Hudson Sr. As the eldest of seven children — Serena Edmond, Roger “Jay” Hudson Jr., Jermaine Hudson, Chereese (Hudson) Barrow, Vaughn Hudson, and Brittany-Joy Hudson, Anthony naturally stepped into the role of a leader and protector from a young age.

Anthony’s early childhood was spent in the Bronx, New York, where some of his fondest memories and most cherished friendships were forged. Known lovingly as “Ant” throughout his community, he had a passion for collecting comic books, playing cards, and gaming. He attended Taft High School, where mathematics was his favorite subject, and graduated with honors in 1989.

Following graduation at just 17 years old, Anthony enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served with distinction as an Aviation Electronics Technician for nine years before receiving an honorable discharge in 1998. His duty assignments took him across the country and around the world— from Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended school to train as a P-3 Communication Equipment Technician, to Brunswick, Maine, where he served as an Aircraft Communications Equipment Technician and where he met Joann—the woman who would become the love of his life. From Maine, he deployed to Puerto Rico, Sigonella, Sicily and Saudi Arabia. He concluded his service as a respected Instructor in Jacksonville, Florida, receiving an honorable discharge in 1998.

Anthony’s dedicated service was recognized through numerous decorations and medals, including the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, the Southwest Asia Service Medal with Bronze Star, the Navy Expeditionary Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, two Navy Good Conduct Medals, and two Joint Meritorious Unit Awards.

His years of technical training in the Navy ignited a lifelong fascination for technology, leading him to pursue computer building as a beloved hobby. He also developed a deep passion for day trading — studying charts, analyzing the stock market, growing his wealth, and generously sharing his knowledge with others.

After his military service, Anthony relocated to the Tampa area in 2002, where he built a distinguished professional career with companies including Avaya, Dell, Verizon, and JPMorgan Chase. He made his home in Riverview, Florida, where he lived with his wife and children until the time of his passing.

Wherever Anthony went, he had a gift for lighting up the room. He was direct and gave it to you straight, no chaser, but in every sense, he was the life of the party — warm, magnetic, and unforgettable to all who knew him.

After relocating to Riverview, Florida, in 2002, Anthony brought his expertise to industry leaders like Avaya, Dell, JPMorgan Chase and Verizon. But outside of the office, Anthony was simply the life of the party. He was a man of radical authenticity—he gave it to you "straight, no chaser"—and his magnetic presence could light up any room.

Anthony’s greatest pride and treasure was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years Joann Breaux; his four daughters, Sherel, Mahogany, Autumn, and Sinai; and his six beloved grandchildren, McKayla, Kehlani, Ambria, Zella, Olivia, and Fred “Junior.” He now joins his grandchild, Prince, in eternal rest.

2 Timothy 4:7–8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Old Testament Reading — Psalm 23

Read by Michael Smith (TBC)

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”

New Testament Reading — 2 Timothy 4:7–8

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day — and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
