Annie Irene Holman Strickland, 96, of Seffner passed away on September 27, 2022 at Gulfside Hospice House in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Irene was born in Dothan, Alabama on August 17, 1926 to Samuel and Donnie Holman. After graduating from Dothan High School, she worked for the government at Napier Field. She soon met and married Leon Strickland and together they had five children.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband Leon, her parents and her four sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her children Richard Strickland, Sammie Eikel, Randy Strickland, Rudy Strickland and Melinda Strickland-Joyce and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a devoted Mother always doing her very best and taking pride in raising her five children. She and Leon were able to enjoy many years at their weekend place on the river in Dunnellon, Florida. She loved visiting and spending time with her good friends.
