Obituary

Crosby, Ana Martinez, 69, of Brandon, passed away on October 27, 2014. She was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and was raised in Homestead, FL. As a single parent, she was a server until she moved to Tampa in the 80s to provide a better life for her children. She proudly became a US Citizen in 1991. After earning a GED and attending technical school, she became an administrative assistant for Hillsborough County Schools Adult Migrant Program. She also worked as a jewelry specialist at WalMart, which fostered her love for jewelry and watches. She retired in 2005, to take care of her mother and grandchildren, where their bonds flourished over gardening, cooking, and jewelry. Through all of life's struggles, her children and grandchildren remained the most important. Instilling the importance of family unity and love for one another was her priority. She is preceded in death by her father, Gregorio and brothers, Jesus and Hector. Ana is survived by her loving family, mother, Maria Isidra Martinez; sons, Juan Rincon and Jerry (Lucy) Crosby; daughters, Virginia (Mark) Stitt, Lupe (Gabriel) Secola, Maria (Robert) Hagerty, Jennifer (Antonio) Muniz, and Jacquelyne (Jose) Rios; brothers, Jose (Vicenta), Mike, Robert (Estella), and Billy; sisters Flora and Maria; 14 grandchildren, Veronica (Nelson), Jasmin, Desmin, Aaron, Stephanie, Marshall, Melanie, Alexis, Jose, Robert, Lucy, Nalani, Pablo, and Mia; and 1 great-grandchild, Leena. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to LifePath Hospice, Indigo Team. There will be a memorial mass on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 3:00 pm at St. Francis of Assisi.
