Obituary

Blotto, Amparo "Line" Linares, 89 , of Brandon, passed away on February 14, 2009. Line was born in Melilla, Spanish Morocco, on April 29, 1919. She became a school teacher, raised a family and enjoyed a 30 year career with the French school system which ultimately took her to teaching positions in Algeria, Morocco, Ivory Coast and France. After retirement, she and her husband, Andre, moved to Bandol, France where they lived until 1984. They then moved to Brandon to be closer to her only daughter, Lydia. Line's greatest joys in life were being with her family, her pets, gardening, dancing and listening to music. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Andre Pierre Blotto; daughter, Lydia Melli ; son-in-law, Claude Melli; sister, Rose Balland; brother, Joseph Linares; granddaughters, Cynthia B Gallentine and Corinne B Curtin; and five great grandsons, Will, Jack, Alex, Daniel and Colin. A holy mass in her honor will take place at 11 o'clock on February 20, 2009 at Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon. Her final resting place will be at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park in Riverview.
