Allene F. Brogan aka, "Allene Wilson" of Valrico, Florida went
home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 1 st at 10:30 p.m.
Allene was 89 years old at the time of her passing and was
surrounded by her children at LifePath Hospice in Sun City
Center, FL. She will be laid to rest during a graveside service at
Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Riverview, FL on Saturday,
October 9, 2021. Allene lived a full and abundant life. She was a
retired customer service representative for Sovereign Bank in
Stafford, VA. She was widowed by retired Lt. Colonel Sollen C.
Wilson, US Army of 49 years and by Major Richard Brogan, US
Army of 10 years. In 1959 Allene, as a beauty queen on the
Eckerd Drugs float in the Annual Gasparilla Pirates Parade in
Tampa, met the love of her life, Sollen Clayton Wilson. They
married and raised a family of eight children, traveling with his
military assignments to Fayetteville NC, Frankfurt Germany,
Lawton, OK before eventually retiring in Temple Terrace, FL. In
2009, "Clay" passed away. In 2010, Allene married Richard
Brogan and relocated to San Antonio, TX. Upon Richard's death
2019, Allene moved back to Brandon, FL to be near her children
and church family at First Baptist of Brandon. She is survived by
her sister Alice Mae Crowe in VA, her children; Carlotta (Walter)
Hnyda of Fernandina Beach, FL, Johnnie (Jack) Baxter of
Elizabethtown, KY, Michael (Deborah) Parsons of Edgar Springs,
MO, Patty Wilson of Abilene, TX, Merry Brocket of Brandon, FL,
Sherry (Mike) Moore of Brandon, FL, Susan Clements of Abilene,
TX, and Mark (Stephanie) Wilson of Westchase, FL. Allene had
eighteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Rest in
