Alice Jane Anderson Roecker , 88, passed away April 18, 2015 at the Hospice House in Ruskin. Born in Conneaut, Ohio in 1927, she spent many years as a secretary in the construction industry. Moving from Ohio in 1967, she and her family settled in Brandon and she later moved to Brooksville. She had many creative interests that included writing, latch hook, and at 81, starred in a production put on by Stagedoor Performing Arts at the Limona Village Chapel UMC. She was also an active member of the United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She is survived by two sons, Mark Anderson (Janice) and Toby Anderson (Frank); three grandchildren, Leslie Anderson Hatch (Kevin), Ryan Anderson, and Shae Anderson; a step-grand-daughter, Shannon Dever; four great-grandsons, Preston, Harrison, Emerson, and Anderson Hatch; three step-great-grandchildren, Samantha, Jeremy, and Adriana. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alice P. and Laurel Means; two sisters, Mary Ford and Dorma Tuttle; two bothers, Gordon Means and Richard Means; her husband of 43 years, Francis M. Anderson and husband of 5 years, Harry Roecker. A memorial service will be held at the Limona Village Chapel United Methodist Church in Brandon on Sunday, May 3rd, at 2:00 pm.
