Alejandro Evangelista Frias, 79, of Apollo Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026.
Born on October 22, 1946, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, he was the son of Conrado Evangelista and Eufracia Frias.
On January 20, 1973, Alejandro married the love of his life, Gladys Abreu. Together, they built a life centered on love, devotion, and family, sharing more than five decades of cherished memories.
Alejandro had a deep passion for chemistry and education. He earned his bachelor's degree and dedicated his professional life to teaching as a professor, inspiring generations of students through his knowledge, integrity, and commitment to learning. Outside of his career, he found great joy in classical music, reading, and lifelong intellectual pursuits.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Gladys; his children, Edwin (Berkys), Walter (Lisette), Eric (Elena), and John (Alicia); and his treasured grandchildren, John, Michelle, Rose, Gabriela, Gabby, Hannah, Alexa, Arlis, Karla, and Adriana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Conrado and Eufracia.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Blessing Angels Assisted Living for their compassionate care, as well as to their longtime friends, Marcelo and family, for their unwavering friendship, support, and kindness throughout the years.
Alejandro will be remembered for his wisdom, integrity, love of family, and the lasting impact he made on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
