Retired CWO 4 Albert Gerald Smith of Brandon, Florida, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011. He was born August 1, 1935 in Wellington, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army as a pilot for 30 years retiring in 1985.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Shirley Flippo Smith, Brandon, Florida; sons, David Gene, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Stephen Lee, Spring, Texas, Kenneth Neal, Mulberry, Florida; daughter, Catherine Smith Dial, Irving, Texas; sister, Joyce Brockenbush, Arlington, Texas; brother, Sandy Smith, Fort Worth, Texas area; step-brothers, Robert Watkins, Arlington, Texas, John Watkins, Fort Worth Texas area, step-sister, Wanda Davis, Paradise, Texas; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Texas at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
