Matthews, Albert Thomas, 64, of Brandon, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011. Born in Bascom, Florida he had been a local resident for 50 years after moving here from Two Egg,Florida. Mr. Matthews was a Viet Nam Veteran and served in both the United States Army 82nd Airborne and 102nd Airborne. He was a sheet metal mechanic and a proud member of Sheet Metal Local 15. Mr. Matthews enjoyed cars, fishing, boating and antiques. Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Mary, daughters; Rae Palmateere, Nichole Matthews, parents Archie and Onita Matthews, brother; John (Karen) Matthews, sister-in-law; Darlene Cleminson and his special life long friends; Leon Driggs, Ed James, and Art McCrae. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, Florida Division, P.O.
