LaPaz, Albert Raymond Albert LaPaz finished his journey on earth on Monday, March 24, 2013 at his home in Brandon, FL. Albert was born in Tampa on July 16, 1923, and was a graduate of Jesuit High School. He attended the University of Detroit for one year before enlisting in the Naval Air Corp in March of 1943. He served in the Naval Air Corp until 1946, when he received an honorable discharge. Albert graduated from Columbia University in New York, where he met his first wife, Theresa Mary Reynolds, who predeceased him in December of 1986. In 1987, he moved back to Tampa. In Tampa, Albert met his second wife, Barbara Jean Runkowski. He leaves behind his loving family and friends, including his daughter Linda LaPaz, stepdaughter Doreen Eidman, 3 nieces, Kathleen Sadler, Patricia and Barbara Reynolds, one nephew, Stephen Grundmann, 5 grandsons, 10 great-grandchildren, and many in-laws and cousins. Al's life will be celebrated with a funeral Mass on April 5, 2014 at 11:00 am at Nativity Catholic Church, 705 East Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, FL 33511.
