Colson, Albert 'Leon', 64, of Riverview, passed away on April 23, 2018. Leon was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He served in Riverview as a volunteer fireman, the state as a National Guardsman, the country as a soldier and was a good and faithful servant to the Lord. He was very generous with his time and enjoyed helping other people. He also enjoyed going camping and fishing with his granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Barbara Jean Colson. Leon is survived by his loving family, wife of 29 years, Cheryl; children, Robin McVicker and Robert (Melissa) Potter; sister, Linda (Michael) Fee; brother, Rodney Colson; granddaughters, Madison, Brittney, Annmarie, and Ava; and many nieces and nephews. There will be a funeral service on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 10:30 am at Riverview United Methodist Church, 8002 US Hwy. 301 So., Riverview, FL 33578. He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery.
