IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alan Manuel
Medina
August 13, 1974 – October 14, 2023
Alan Manuel Medina, 49, of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully the morning of October 14, 2023.
Alan was the firstborn son of Manuel and Maria Medina of Chicago, Illinois. Alan Medina earned his degree in Funeral Directing from St. Pete Junior College.
In 2002, Alan met Caroline and they quickly knew they were meant for each other. They were married in June 2003. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter.
Alan took great pride in the life he built with his wife; he credited her with making him a better man by seeing him for both the man he was and the man he could aspire to be. Together, they created a vibrant, charitable, and affectionate life that, along with their children, they shared exuberantly and openly with family and friends.
Alan did not know a stranger. Everyone who met Alan immediately succumbed to his charm. His wit and earnestness were disarming; his playfulness endearing; and his laughter infectious. Being in Alan's presence was like being hugged; you couldn't help but want to be around him. Alan lived every moment to the fullest. His humor was like no other. He made the everyday moments fun and every room he entered got brighter. Alan's enduring legacy is to savor all that life has to give you and recognize it for the blessing that it is - make every moment count.
Alan was predeceased by his mother, Maria Medina. He is survived by his wife, Caroline Medina; son, Mateo Manuel Medina; daughter, Stella Maria Medina; father, Manuel Medina; brother, Cesar Medina, and his wife, Sarah, and nieces Violet and Olivia; and a large, extended family.
Visitation will be held at Serenity Meadows, Riverview, on October 23, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with memorial remarks beginning at 7 p.m.
