In Loving Memory of Alan "Butch" Kulp

Alan, fondly known as "Butch," entered this world in Allentown, Pennsylvania, as the eldest child of Vonda Hamilton. He grew up with five siblings in the city of Bethlehem, PA. A graduate of Liberty High School, Class of 1965, he set forth on a journey that would be marked by service, dedication, and a passion for life.

After graduating, Butch enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving his nation from 1966 to 1970. His military service took him to diverse corners of the world, including Vietnam, the Philippines, and Guam. Butch's commitment to his country was unwavering, and his experiences in the military shaped his character.

Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he found his place within the United States Post Office, where he worked diligently until his well-earned retirement in 2004.

Having spent his entire life in Pennsylvania, until he made the move to Florida in 2020, embracing a new chapter. In his retirement, he delighted in various hobbies, including his love for model trains, target shooting, the intricate process of reloading ammunition, indulging in classic movies, and the ever-evolving world of YouTube.

Butch's legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by his daughter, Karen King (James King) of Florida, his son Michael Kulp (Candice Kulp) of California, his son Bryan Kulp (Cynthia Kulp) of Arizona, and his daughter Katie Kulp (Taoufiq Idbihi) of Florida. He was also the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 7 great-grandchildren.

Butch is survived by his ex-wife, Judy, who served as his compassionate caregiver and devoted friend during his final days. Their enduring friendship and unwavering support were a testament to the depth of their bond. Butch's memory is also lovingly preserved by his sisters, brothers, and a host of nieces and nephews. In a heartwarming turn of events later in life, Butch had the opportunity to reunite with his long-lost sisters and brother from his biological father, adding a new chapter of connection to his remarkable journey.

While Butch's life may have encountered its share of challenges, his legacy stands as a testament to love, resilience, and the enduring connections he forged throughout his journey. We will forever hold him close in our hearts, finding solace in the memories of the remarkable man known as Butch, Dad, and Pop-Pop.

As Butch joins his loved ones who have gone before him, may he find eternal peace in their company. May his memory continue to inspire and provide strength to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
