Obituary

Aaron Clawson was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Midpark High School in 2004, where he was actively involved in sports and his church community. From a young age, Aaron developed a deep love for Cleveland sports—especially the Browns—and he carried that passion with him throughout his life. Grounded in faith and family, he formed the values that would guide him in the years ahead.

After graduation, Aaron answered a call to serve by enlisting in the United States Air Force in 2004. He served honorably until 2011, dedicating himself to something greater than himself. During his time in the service, he earned an Associate of Science degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology and was awarded numerous honors, including the Air Force Achievement Medal and multiple commendations, reflecting both his excellence and his integrity. He served with pride and a strong sense of purpose, always committed to something greater than himself.

Following his military service, Aaron built a career as a field service engineer, most recently with Philips Healthcare. While he took pride in his work, his greatest joy and calling was being a father. He loved spending time with his children, supporting them in their activities, and cheering them on—both on the field and in life. Whether it was sharing his love of sports or simply being present in everyday moments, Aaron showed up with love, patience, and unwavering support.

Aaron is survived by his beloved daughter, Sophia, and son, Zachary Clawson; his parents, Thomas and Anna Clawson of Middleburg Heights, Ohio; and his sisters, Jamie Toth (Chris), Julie Shymske (Jeff), and Jenna Clawson. He will also be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and lifelong friends who were blessed to know him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Evelyn Clawson, Joseph and Fanny Campisi, and his beloved Nana, Connie.

While Aaron’s passing leaves a profound void, his family finds comfort in their faith, trusting that he is at peace and held in God’s loving embrace. His life was defined by love, service, and devotion, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Aaron’s community for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
